This oil pastel is SUPPOSED to be light on water. Ya know, like all rippily and all.
I don't know. Something went wrong. Maybe its the colors I chose to use.
I think I'll try and study some photos of rippily water and see if that sheds any light on where I went wrong.
Anyway, maybe better luck next time...
Idea: Go to library and look how other artists portray light on water. The impressionists tried it all the time. If you study other painters, you can benefit from their lessons.

ReplyDeleteI knew it was water right away, but I thought it was oil on water. Still, I like it. I think looking at impressionist light on water is a great idea!
